Round Table at the Ivan Franko University

On August 16, it was held in Lviv, Round Table, on quantum computers and quantum algorithms. Organizers — Lviv City Council and the Department of Theoretical Physics named after Ivan Vakarchuk of Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko. During the meeting, the possibilities of practical application of quantum technologies were discussed in detail, and emphasis was placed on the possibilities of their application in deep tech startups.

The meeting participants thanked you, Mike RICHARDSON, for an excellent presentation about how deep tech can be developed in Ukraine. The round table was attended by entrepreneurs interested in the commercialization of research results in quantum computers and quantum computing and representatives of the Department of Theoretical Physics of LNU named after Ivan Franko.

Oleksa Wozniak, deputy of the city council and coordinator of the photonics ecosystem in Lviv, writes on LinkedIn that “the department of theoretical physics was the first in Ukraine to initiate the educational program on quantum computing and quantum computers and is now training specialists in this newest direction. Therefore, we want to establish cooperation between foreign specialists, our entrepreneurs, scientists, and young specialists to develop the deep tech industry in Lviv so that we can jointly create cool and much-needed products for our defenders.”

Mike Richardson’s visit took place in cooperation with the Ukrainian Cluster Alliance and the newly created Ukrainian cluster of photonics.
